We discovered that we had 43,557.2 LELX.io tokens on our Polygon wallet recently and thought we had an unexpected windfall. After doing some research, we found a thread on reddit by arqtiq highlighting that it is actually a scam that allows them to access your cryto wallet!
The tokens can be swapped on their website or via QuickSwap for a tempting 1.42 ETH (5288.15 USD).
However, upon granting approval on this contract, you will be allowing the scammers to access all your funds or NFTs within the wallet which they would most likely be clearing it until you’re left with nothing.
Always be wary about random tokens that you see on your wallet and remember to do your own research (DYOR) before approving any contracts!
